"It’s almost time for one of the greatest annual events ever! The Taste of
Dr. Phillips, is an excellent way to visit with friends and neighbors and enjoy some of most delicious food from over 20 local restaurants. Proceeds stay local and benefit DP schools and charities. Does it get any better than that? I am so looking forward to seeing you there.”

"In 2015, my wife, Amy, was serving as the Director of Missions at St. Luke’s and was good friends with Karen Brown. Karen’s husband, Art, suggested to Amy that we might enjoy attending the upcoming “A Taste of Dr. Phillips”. Amy mentioned it to me, and I thought it sounded like fun, so we decided to attend.
When we arrived at A Taste of Dr. Phillips, I asked Art what the Dr. Phillips Rotary Club was all about. He explained that the club organized events like this—opportunities to enjoy great food and drinks, meet new people, and, most importantly, raise money to support local charities and organizations throughout Southwest Orange County.Art then asked me a simple question: “Is this something you would like to be a part of?”My answer was yes, and shortly afterward, I joined the Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips, Art was my sponsor. At the time, I was Senior Vice President of Technical Services at Universal Orlando. My career was extremely demanding and left me with limited time to become involved in organizations outside of work. Rotary, however, was a perfect fit. It gave me an opportunity to connect with great people while contributing to the community in a meaningful way. After 30 years with Universal Orlando, I retired in 2023 and was finally able to devote more time to Rotary. In 2024, I served as Club President-Elect, followed by Club President in 2025 and Foundation President in 2026.I look forward to continuing my Rotary journey for many years to come. And to think, it all began with one invitation and one evening at A Taste of Dr. Phillips in 2015.”

“A Taste of Dr. Phillips has become a fun annual festival and a staple for the Dr. Phillips community. We look forward to it every year because November 1st typically has great weather and the band is excellent.
I mean, where else can you sample food from some of Orlando’s best chefs and 20 of Restaurant Rows yummy food? I personally love the wine selections and it is great to hang with local friends/neighbors while not thinking about work for an afternoon!”

"19 years ago, A Taste of Dr. Phillips started and has been growing ever since. It has become the best local Dr. Phillips community event.
You, your friends and neighbors will enjoy fine cuisine from some of the best restaurants featured from Restaurant Row while listening or dancing to The Down Brothers performing incredible live music!
The best part of this festival is that 100% of net proceeds are contributed back into the community, serving those in need. The ticket price is worth the delicious food, drinks, entertainment and fun, but knowing that 100% goes to the community blows my mind!
I have never attended another event with such combined value. Come join us for a wonderful time in our own backyard."

"A Taste of Dr. Phillips is one of those events I genuinely look forward to every year. After fours years of going, it somehow keeps getting better while still feeling intimate, warm and incredibly fun. The food, drinks and music are fantastic, but the Rotary members are really what makes it special. They're such a jazzy team with big hearts, magnetic personalities and a genuine passion for their community. At this point, seeing them every year is just as much a part of the experience as the food.”
